Under 21 today? You now cannot purchase a firearm in Colorado. Put 2 and 2 together on Prop HH.
Under 21? It's now (today) illegal for you to purchase a firearm in Colorado.
The law banning the sale (but with some exceptions for possession**) of guns to those under 21 goes into effect today, Monday August 7th.
Rocky Mountain Gun Owners is pursuing a lawsuit against this bill. I urge you to follow me in contributing money to a gun-rights organization (I personally did Colorado Shooting Sports Association, https://cssa.org/, but I'm less concerned about who than that you be involved) to protect and defend your 2nd amendment rights.
I say this because this is the thin end of the wedge: with Democrats in charge of all the levers of power in this state for the foreseeable future, this assault on your rights will not be stopping and the courts (Federal especially) are the only recourse.
**To quote the article the exceptions are:
"As amended, the law allows those under the age of 21 to possess firearms if they are active-duty military or enrolled in the Colorado Parks and Wildlife hunter education course for young people, which is open to those as young as 10 years old. Exceptions also apply for individuals under 21 who engage in shooting or target sports, as well as for individuals who need firearms to defend livestock against predators."

I want you to put two things together here.
The first is the fact (see the screenshot from the article linked first below) that the more people learn about Prop HH the less support it gets.
The second (see the second article linked below) is that money, both regular and dark, is flowing into this state to prop up Prop HH, presumably by playing up what sells and downplaying what doesn't.
Said another way, the Democrats are flooding this state with cash (again) to fundamentally change how this state operates. In-state and out-of-state sources like Pat Stryker, Boldly Forward (Polis), The Sixteen Thirty Fund, The Colorado Teacher's Union, and some other Democrat donors (from out of state).
Do you think Pat Stryker, Polis, The Sixteen Thirty Fund, the teacher's union give a tin s**t about your property taxes? About saving you money?
Their donations, their getting in the mix, tell you all you need to know about what we're after. It ain't saving you money. It's breaking TABOR. It's a fundamental change to Colorado.
Now, the good news here is that, while there's no big money opposing HH, there is a chance to work against it.
Let me clarify, there is a chance for YOU to work against it.
I'm not talking about canvassing, calling, anything like that. I'm simply asking you to spread the word about what Prop HH is and what it will do. I'm simply asking you to spread the word about who's giving money to help get it passed.
Because, if the first article has it right, the more people hear, the less they like it.
Most people aren't political and won't know (if you need evidence think about the sudden ground swell of irritation about paying for bags at the grocery: that law was over a year old when the bag fee went into place). Help them know by mentioning it.
