Happy Labor Day

No posts today save for a quick mention of the reason for the day.

If you have read this page long enough, you've probably gleaned that I'm not a huge fan of unions.  It would be more accurate to say I'm not a huge fan of MODERN unions.

Like with much else in this world, a good thing taken to excess is unhealthy.  Saying this, however, doesn't negate the important role that labor advocates have played in making this world a safer and more humane world to live in.

Sometimes doing so at the cost of their lives.  If you want a local example, see the Wikipedia page on the Ludlow Massacre below.  

Take a minute today to stop and appreciate that.  

Then enjoy some time relaxing, spent with family or friends.
